Each earbud provides a 10mm dynamic graphene driver that's custom tuned by Cleer Acoustic Lab, but still allows you to customize EQ setting to your liking with the Cleer+ app (iOS/Android). As you listen, distracting ambient sounds are filtered out via Feed Forward & Feed Backward adaptive noise cancellation technology. It's adaptive because the Ally Plus II earbuds automatically adjust noise cancellation based on your surroundings. However, you can also adjust this via the Cleer+ app to accommodate different settings.
