Description
Motorola Original RSM IP54 Rated 2-Pin Connector
The most popular shoulder microphone for Motorola commercial radios — windporting technology, 1-watt speaker, emergency button, and 3.5mm earpiece jack in an IP54-rated body.
The Motorola PMMN4013 is a genuine Motorola Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM) designed for the full range of Motorola 2-pin commercial two-way radios including the CP200D, CP185, CP100D, BPR40, and R2 series. It attaches to a lapel, shoulder, or safety vest via a rotating swivel clip — keeping the radio on the belt while placing the speaker and microphone closer to the ear and mouth for hands-free communication in loud, demanding environments.
Built with Motorola's Windporting technology that allows audio to pass through the speaker grille even when the port is blocked by rain or debris, a large glove-friendly PTT button, an orange emergency button, and a 3.5mm audio jack for a discreet earpiece. Available at ITFactory.ca — Canada's trusted source for Motorola two-way radio accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the PMMN4013 compatible with the CP185 and CP100D?
Yes. The PMMN4013 is fully compatible with the CP185 and CP100D, as well as the CP200, CP200D, BPR40, R2, and the other 2-pin Motorola radio models listed above. It connects via the standard Motorola 2-pin (M1) accessory connector common across Motorola's commercial radio lineup.
What earpiece can I use with the 3.5mm audio jack?
The 3.5mm jack on the PMMN4013 accepts any standard Motorola-compatible receive-only earpiece with a 3.5mm mono plug — such as the Motorola AARLN4885 or similar surveillance-style earpieces. The earpiece is not included and is sold separately. Contact ITFactory.ca for compatible earpiece options for your specific radio deployment.
What is windporting and why does it matter?
Windporting is Motorola's technology that allows audio to pass through the speaker grille even when the microphone port is blocked — by rain, mud, a gloved hand, or a safety vest pressed against the mic. On a conventional microphone, a blocked port means muffled or inaudible audio. Windporting eliminates this problem, ensuring reliable transmissions in outdoor and physically demanding environments where conventional speaker mics fail.
Is this version Intrinsically Safe?
No. The PMMN4013 is the standard version and is not Intrinsically Safe (IS) rated. For environments requiring IS-certified accessories — such as oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, grain handling operations, or other areas with explosive atmospheres — the Motorola PMMN4027 is the appropriate IS-rated alternative. Contact ITFactory.ca if you require IS-rated accessories.
What is the difference between PMMN4013 and PMMN4013A?
These are the same product. Motorola adds a suffix letter to denote production version revisions — the specifications, features, and compatibility are identical. You will receive the current production version available at the time of your order.
Can the swivel clip be replaced if it breaks?
Yes. The spring swivel clip on the PMMN4013 is field-replaceable — it can be swapped out without tools if it becomes worn or damaged in heavy use. Replacement clips are available as a separate Motorola accessory. Contact ITFactory.ca for details.
