Aosu SolarCam P1 Max — 2-Cam Kit
HomeCortex AI Hub Included — 32GB Built-In
4K Solar — No Monthly Fee — Expandable to 16TB
Two 4K solar cameras plus the HomeCortex AI hub — face recognition, behaviour analysis, AI video search, 32GB built-in storage expandable to 16TB, and centralized management of your whole property, with no monthly subscription required.
The Aosu SolarCam P1 Max C8S 2-Camera Kit with HomeCortex is a complete AI-powered outdoor security system — two 4K solar cameras and the HomeCortex hub included in one package. The HomeCortex is Aosu's on-device AI base station: cameras connect through it rather than directly to your Wi-Fi, giving stronger, more stable signals across the property. On the hub, AI runs locally without cloud dependency — delivering face recognition, behaviour analysis, smart video search by person or event, and daily security summary reports. The HomeCortex includes 32GB of built-in storage expandable up to 16TB using a standard 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD — years of footage stored locally with no ongoing subscription costs. Each camera captures 4K UHD video, runs entirely on an integrated solar panel and 5000mAh battery, and includes a spotlight, alarm, two-way audio, and AI FenceDefender perimeter detection.

Quick Start Guide
Setup documentation for cameras and HomeCortex hub. |

|
What Is the HomeCortex Hub?
The HomeCortex is Aosu's AI base station — a compact hub that sits indoors and manages the entire camera system. Cameras connect to the HomeCortex wirelessly using Aosu's proprietary protocol rather than directly to your home Wi-Fi router, providing stronger, more stable signal and reducing the load on your home network. The HomeCortex connects to your router via Ethernet for a reliable wired backhaul.

Key Features
|
Face Recognition — Know Who Is There
The HomeCortex's on-device AI recognizes familiar faces and alerts you specifically when an unfamiliar person is detected — distinguishing family members, regular visitors, and delivery drivers from strangers. Face recognition runs entirely locally on the HomeCortex without sending data to the cloud.
|
Behaviour Analysis and Smart Alerts
AI behaviour analysis monitors movement patterns — detecting loitering, fence climbing, and suspicious activity near vehicles. Alerts are triggered by behaviour rather than just motion, significantly reducing false alarms from routine movement while catching genuinely suspicious activity.
|
|
Smart Video Search — Find What You Need Instantly
Search recorded footage by person, vehicle, object, or event type with one command — the HomeCortex's AI categorizes every recording so you can find specific footage without scrubbing through hours of video. Daily security summary reports are automatically generated to keep you informed of significant activity without constant app checking.
|
32GB Built-In — Expandable to 16TB
The HomeCortex hub records all cameras centrally to its 32GB built-in storage — enough for several days of continuous recording across two cameras. For extended retention, add a standard 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD (sold separately) to expand storage up to 16TB — months or years of footage stored locally without cloud costs.
|
|
4K UHD Solar Cameras — No Wiring Required
Each camera captures 3840×2160 (8MP) 4K video with f/1.6 aperture for sharp detail day and night. An integrated 4W solar panel continuously charges the 5000mAh battery — requiring approximately two hours of daily sunlight for year-round autonomous operation with no wiring, no battery replacement, and no electrician required.
|
Full-Colour Night Vision — Spotlight and Alarm
Multi-LED white spotlight delivers full-colour night vision when motion is detected. Infrared LEDs provide passive night vision without activating the spotlight. The integrated alarm and spotlight can be set to activate automatically on detection or triggered manually from the Aosu app — deterring intruders with light and sound simultaneously.
|
|
AI FenceDefender + Parking Protection
Define a virtual boundary at your fence or property edge — alerts only trigger when something crosses that line, not from street traffic or neighbours beyond your property. Parking Protection monitors a designated zone and alerts when a vehicle enters — useful for driveways and restricted areas.
|
Two-Way Audio + Alexa and Google Assistant
Real-time two-way communication through each camera's built-in mic and speaker. The system integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice-controlled live viewing and smart home integration. Manage both cameras and the HomeCortex through the free Aosu app on iOS and Android.
|
|
Expandable System — Up to 6 Cameras
This kit ships with 2 cameras. The HomeCortex supports up to 6 compatible Aosu SolarCam P1 Max cameras — add cameras individually as your coverage needs grow without replacing the hub or starting over.
|
IP65 — 130° Field of View — 6× Digital Zoom
IP65-rated against dust and water jets for year-round outdoor use. Each camera covers 130° diagonally with 6× digital zoom for identifying licence plates and faces at distance directly in the app.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the cameras work without the HomeCortex hub?
No — in the HomeCortex kit, cameras connect through the hub rather than directly to your Wi-Fi router. The HomeCortex must remain powered on and connected to your router for the cameras to function, record, and send alerts. This is different from Aosu's standalone Wi-Fi cameras, which connect directly to your router. The HomeCortex system provides stronger signals and local AI processing in exchange for requiring the hub to be always connected.
Do I need a monthly subscription?
No — all features including face recognition, behaviour analysis, smart video search, FenceDefender, alerts, and live view are available without a subscription. The HomeCortex hub records locally to its built-in 32GB storage. Optional cloud backup plans are available from Aosu for off-site redundancy, but local storage and all AI features work entirely without a subscription.
How do I expand the storage beyond 32GB?
Insert a standard 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD (sold separately) into the HomeCortex hub — it supports drives up to 16TB. SATA 2.5-inch laptop hard drives and solid-state drives of this form factor are widely available and compatible. The hub manages the drive automatically once installed. This allows months or years of footage retention across all connected cameras without any recurring storage cost.
Can I add more cameras to this kit?
Yes — the HomeCortex hub supports up to 6 compatible Aosu SolarCam cameras. This kit ships with 2, leaving room to add up to 4 more cameras to expand coverage over time without replacing the hub. Additional Aosu SolarCam P1 Max cameras are available separately at ITFactory.ca. Confirm camera compatibility with the HomeCortex system before purchasing add-on cameras.
Will the solar panels keep the cameras charged in Canadian winters?
The P1 Max cameras require approximately two hours of direct sunlight per day for autonomous operation. Canadian winters bring shorter days and lower sun angles that reduce solar input — performance varies by location, mounting angle, and local weather. Mount solar panels south-facing at an angle maximizing winter sun exposure. During extended overcast periods, the 5000mAh battery reserve provides bridging capacity, and each camera includes a Micro-USB port for supplemental charging if needed.
