Commercial Truck Dash Cam
4 Cameras — 10.1" IPS Screen
IP67 — 12–36V
Complete four-angle coverage for commercial trucks, semis, RVs, buses, and trailers — 4 x 1080p cameras, 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen, blind spot detection, IP67 waterproofing, and 12–36V compatibility.
The GekoGear Orbit T100 is a purpose-built four-channel dash cam system designed for the coverage demands of commercial trucks, semi-trailers, RVs, buses, and large vehicles where a single camera leaves critical angles unmonitored. Four 1080p cameras cover the front, rear, and both sides of the vehicle simultaneously — recording to a single system managed through a large 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen display. Blind spot detection provides active alerts, a G-sensor protects incident footage automatically, and IP67-rated cameras handle rain, snow, and road spray without concern. The system runs on 12–36V power, making it compatible with both light commercial and heavy commercial vehicles.

Why Commercial Trucks Need Four-Channel Coverage
A standard passenger car dash cam covers one or two angles. Commercial trucks have significantly more exposure — a long trailer creates massive blind spots on both sides and at the rear that a driver cannot see from the cab. A front-only camera leaves the majority of the vehicle's footprint undocumented in the event of an incident.
The Orbit T100's four cameras — front, rear, left side, and right side — provide comprehensive documentation of everything happening around a large vehicle simultaneously. For fleet operators, this coverage is essential for insurance claims, liability protection, driver coaching, and regulatory compliance.

Key Features
4 x 1080p Cameras — Front, Rear, Left, Right Four simultaneous 1080p recording channels capture every angle around the vehicle at the same time — eliminating blind spots and providing complete documentation of every incident, near-miss, and traffic interaction from all four sides.
10.1-Inch IPS Touchscreen Display A large 10.1-inch IPS display provides bright, clear visibility in the cab — showing live feeds from all four cameras, playback of recorded footage, and system settings via an intuitive touchscreen interface. Large enough to monitor multiple angles simultaneously at a glance.
Blind Spot Detection Active blind spot detection monitors the vehicle's hard-to-see areas and alerts the driver to potential hazards — vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles in the side blind zones of large trucks and trailers where camera-based awareness is the only viable monitoring method.
F1.6 Wide-Aperture Lens The F1.6 lens allows significantly more light to reach the sensor than standard F2.0 or F2.4 lenses — delivering improved clarity in low-light conditions including dawn, dusk, poorly-lit loading docks, tunnels, and night driving where incident risk is elevated.
IP67 Waterproof Cameras All four cameras are IP67 rated — fully dust-sealed and waterproof to 1 metre submersion. Highway rain, truck wash, road spray, and winter conditions are no concern. Built for the demanding environments commercial vehicles operate in year-round.
G-Sensor Emergency Recording Detects collision impact, hard braking, or sudden swerving and automatically locks the current recording as a protected emergency file that cannot be overwritten by loop recording — preserving critical incident footage automatically without driver action.
12–36V Universal Power Compatibility Operates on 12V, 24V, or 36V vehicle electrical systems — compatible with light commercial trucks, heavy-duty semis, buses, and RVs without voltage conversion hardware. Hardwired installation for always-on operation.
Long Cable Runs for Trailer Coverage Includes cables up to 15 metres (50 feet) for routing cameras to the rear of long trailers and the far sides of wide vehicles — far longer than the short cables included with passenger car dash cam systems, which are inadequate for commercial vehicle installations.
H.264 / TS Video Format — Efficient Storage Records in H.264 compression with TS container format — producing smaller file sizes than uncompressed formats without sacrificing image quality, and ensuring files are easily transferable and compatible with standard video playback software.
Wide Operating Temperature Range Rated for operation from -20°C to 70°C — performing reliably in Canadian winter conditions and hot summer cabs without shutdown or performance degradation across the full range of commercial vehicle operating environments.
Loop Recording — Continuous Coverage Continuously overwrites the oldest footage when the microSD card fills up, ensuring all four channels always capture the most recent activity without requiring manual file management between shifts or trips.
Up to 256GB Storage Support Supports microSD cards up to 256GB — significantly more capacity than the 128GB limit on most consumer dash cams, enabling longer recording retention across four simultaneous channels before loop overwrite begins.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a microSD card included?
No — unlike the Orbit D-series consumer dash cams, the T100 does not include a microSD card. A high-endurance microSD card rated for continuous recording is required — look for Class 10, U3, V30 rated cards, which are designed for the sustained write workloads of dash cam recording. The T100 supports cards up to 256GB. High-endurance microSD cards are available at ITFactory.ca.
How does the blind spot detection work?
The T100's blind spot detection uses the side cameras to monitor areas alongside the vehicle that the driver cannot see directly. The system processes the camera feed to detect vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles entering the blind zone and provides an alert on the display. This is particularly valuable during lane changes and turns in heavy traffic where side blind spots on long commercial vehicles create significant collision risk.
Will the cables reach the rear of a long trailer?
The T100 includes two 15-metre (50-foot) cables specifically for long vehicle runs — sufficient to reach the rear camera on a standard 53-foot trailer with cable to spare for routing along the frame. Three 5-metre cables cover the shorter runs to side cameras and a front camera. For exceptionally long vehicles or specific routing requirements, extension cables may be needed.
Is this suitable for 24V trucks?
Yes. The T100 operates on 12–36V DC — compatible with standard 12V passenger and light commercial vehicles, 24V heavy commercial trucks and semis, and 36V systems. No voltage converter or adapter is required. This makes it directly compatible with the majority of commercial vehicles on Canadian roads without additional hardware.
Can footage be used for insurance claims?
Yes. The T100 records timestamped 1080p video across four angles simultaneously — the footage is accepted by Canadian insurers for incident documentation. G-sensor-protected emergency files preserve the exact moment of an incident and the seconds before and after, providing the most relevant footage for claim purposes. Consult with your insurer regarding their specific requirements for dash cam footage submission.
