Hytera HP56X H-Series Professional DMR — 512 Channels IP67 — Colour LCD — Optional GNSS + BT
Hytera's professional H-Series DMR radio — colour LCD display, 512 channels across 32 zones, IP67, AI noise cancellation, industry-leading 0.18μV receiver sensitivity, USB-C, and optional GNSS positioning or Bluetooth audio.
The Hytera HP56X is the entry point into Hytera's professional H-Series DMR radio family — a significant step above the BD5x and BD6x commercial series in features, durability, and performance. Where the BD series are cost-effective workhorses for everyday commercial teams, the HP56X is built for professional users who need a colour LCD display, 512 channels across 32 zones, IP67 waterproofing, deep encryption, text messaging, lone worker safety, and the option to add GNSS positioning or Bluetooth 5.2 audio accessories. AI-based noise cancellation and an industry-leading 0.18μV receiver sensitivity deliver clear audio and extended range in demanding field environments. A USB-C port handles charging and programming, and dual dedicated knobs for volume and channel control provide fast, no-menu access to the two most commonly adjusted settings.
Available in six variants — see the model selector below. Available at ITFactory.ca — Canada's trusted source for Hytera two-way radios.

Choose Your Variant All six variants include the full HP56X feature set — colour LCD display, 512 channels / 32 zones, IP67, AI noise cancellation, ARC4 digital encryption, text messaging, lone worker, dual knobs, and USB-C. The only differences between variants are band (UHF or VHF), and whether GNSS satellite positioning or Bluetooth is built in.
Not sure which to choose? If you do not need GPS fleet tracking or wireless earpieces, the standard U1 or V1 is the right choice — it is not a stripped-down version, it is the full HP56X radio. Add GNSS if dispatch needs to see where your team is. Add Bluetooth if your team uses wireless earpieces or you want to program the radio via smartphone. |

Who Is This For?
The HP56X is for professional organizations that need more than a commercial radio provides — facilities and operations managers at hospitals, stadiums, industrial parks, large campuses, and hotels requiring GPS dispatch, text messaging, advanced encryption, lone worker safety, and the channel depth for complex multi-department deployments. It is also the right choice for any organization that has outgrown the BD series and wants a platform that can scale with optional software licences.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose the GNSS variant or the Bluetooth variant?
They serve different purposes. The GNSS variants (HP56X-G-U1 / HP56X-G-V1) add GPS positioning — reporting radio location to dispatch software for fleet visibility, lone worker check-in, and location-based emergency response. Choose GNSS if you need to know where your radios and users are in real time. The Bluetooth variants (HP56X-BT-U1 / HP56X-BT-V1) add Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless audio accessories (earpieces, headsets) and smartphone programming via the HyTool app. Choose Bluetooth if hands-free wireless audio is your priority. The two options are on separate variants — there is currently no combined GNSS + Bluetooth variant in this SKU lineup. Contact ITFactory.ca if you require both.
What do the optional software licences unlock?
Three advanced features require a separate software licence: Priority Interrupt allows a dispatcher or supervisor to break into an ongoing transmission to deliver urgent communications; Radio Disable/Enable and Remote Monitor allow remote deactivation of a lost or stolen radio and silent listening; XPT single-site digital trunking enables automatic channel assignment from a channel pool for more efficient use of spectrum in large multi-radio deployments. These features are not available on any BD series radio and are one of the key reasons to choose the HP56X for professional deployments. Contact ITFactory.ca for software licence availability and pricing.
Is the HP56X compatible with my existing BD-series radios?
Yes — in analog mode, the HP56X will communicate with any analog radio on the same frequency and tone, including BD502i, BD552i, and BD612i units. In DMR digital mode, the HP56X will communicate with other DMR Tier II radios programmed to the same frequency, colour code, and talk group — including the BD series DMR channels. Mixed HP56X and BD-series deployments are fully practical, allowing organizations to introduce HP56X units to key users while existing BD units remain in service.
Does the HP56X need to be programmed before use?
Yes. The HP56X requires programming to configure channels, zones, frequencies, tones, encryption, and features. Programming is done via USB-C using Hytera's CPS software, or wirelessly via Bluetooth using the HyTool Radio Manager app on BT variants. ITFactory.ca offers radio programming at a nominal fee — contact us before or after your purchase to arrange programming for your deployment.

Radio Licensing Note The Hytera HP56X is a licensed two-way radio. In Canada, operating a two-way radio on licensed frequencies requires a Radio Authorization issued by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). The radio functions without a licence, but commercial operation on licensed frequencies without authorization is not permitted under the Radiocommunication Act. For licensing information, visit ised.canada.ca. ITFactory.ca offers radio programming at a nominal fee — contact us to arrange programming for your deployment. |
