Description
Open Box Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Fujifilm X Mount — APS-C — 45mm Equiv.
The go-to fast normal prime for Fujifilm X-mount shooters — F1.4 brightness, near-silent stepping motor AF, 9-blade rounded bokeh, and a mirrorless-native optical design. Available at an open box discount.
The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary is one of the most popular prime lenses in the Fujifilm X ecosystem — and for good reason. Designed from the ground up for mirrorless (the DC DN designation means it is not an adapted DSLR formula), it delivers a 45mm full-frame equivalent focal length — a true "normal" perspective that is natural-looking, versatile, and flattering for portraits, street photography, travel, and video. The F1.4 maximum aperture is over two stops brighter than a typical kit lens, enabling confident shooting in low-light environments and giving the shooter precise control over depth of field. Two aspherical elements and one high-refractive index element are used throughout the 9-element, 7-group optical design to minimize distortion and spherical aberration — resulting in corner-to-corner sharpness that exceeds what the price point would suggest.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Fujifilm X-mount cameras is this compatible with?
The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN is compatible with all Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras — including the X-T5, X-T4, X-T3, X-T30 II, X-S20, X-S10, X-H2, X-H2S, X-E4, X-T50, X100VI (with the XF-M adapter, though dedicated X100 body use is not applicable), and all other APS-C X-series bodies. It is not designed for the Fujifilm GFX medium format system. Autofocus, aperture control, and image stabilization communication (for IBIS-equipped bodies) all function normally.
Does this lens have image stabilization?
No — the Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN does not have optical image stabilization built into the lens. Fujifilm X-mount bodies with IBIS (such as the X-T5, X-H2, X-H2S, and X-S20) provide in-body stabilization that works with this lens. On bodies without IBIS, the F1.4 aperture compensates for low-light situations by enabling faster shutter speeds — F1.4 is nearly 3 stops brighter than F4, allowing shutter speeds 3 stops faster for equivalent exposure.
How does the 30mm compare to the Fujifilm XF 35mm F1.4?
The Sigma 30mm (45mm equiv.) and the Fujifilm XF 35mm F1.4 (52.5mm equiv.) are both popular fast normal primes for Fujifilm X bodies but cover slightly different ground. The Fujifilm is slightly longer — closer to a classic 50mm perspective — and is beloved for its rendering character. The Sigma is slightly wider (closer to 45mm) and features a stepping motor AF that is noticeably faster and quieter than the XF 35mm's older motor design, making it a better choice for video and continuous AF use. The Sigma also costs less. Both are excellent; the choice often comes down to the preferred focal length and whether AF speed or character-driven rendering is the priority.
What does "DC DN" mean?
DC DN is Sigma's designation for lenses built specifically for mirrorless systems. DC indicates the lens is designed for APS-C sensors (as opposed to FF full-frame). DN indicates it was engineered natively for mirrorless — the optical and mechanical design accounts for the short flange distance and sensor proximity of mirrorless cameras rather than being adapted from a DSLR formula. A DC DN lens is not simply a DSLR lens with a different mount attached — it is an entirely different optical design optimized for mirrorless sensors and bodies.
